The New Huskies Coach

Postby huskyfan1 » Tue Oct 01, 2013 3:11 pm

Firing Coach P raises some big questions.

Given the state of the team, I'm wondering if UCONN can attract a quality coach to fill the position? I'm sure there are some solid candidates out there, but not sure who the are and which one of them would be open to coming to a struggling team/program.

Former Husky offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Rob Ambrose might be a good fit. He has done well the last few seasons with Towson.

Also, there is someone like Lane Kiffin who is now out of a job. He was 28-15 at USC, with a 10-2 season in 2011. He may be a long-shot and have no interest in a position at UCONN, but he has coached at a very high level and may be worth a call if nothing else.
